    Promote professionalism and ethical standards among Washington soil Scientists

    Educate and inform others on how to wisely use soil and other natural resources

    Provide an information and communication link between and among
    Washington soil scientists and other professional scientists

    Subscribe to the American Registry of Certified Professionals
    in Agronomy, Crops, and Soils (ARCPACS) Code of Ethic

WSPSS ACTIVITIES

1. WSPSS conducts yearly field tours and meetings focused on timely strategic issues dealing with:

    -Site management and assessment
    -Soil interpretations
    -Soil taxonomic issues
    -National, state, and local land resource issues
    -Information and education for non-soil scientists
    -Hydric soil indicators and wetland issues

2. WSPSS maintains and distributes a list of members who are professional consultants*

3. WSPSS develops and distributes informational and educational materials defining
    roles of and services provided by professional soil scientists

4. WSPSS participates actively and financially in high school land judging, and
    junior high school natural resources education in the Pacific Northwest
