UPDATE: MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT!

Washington soil scientists continue to seek licensure.

There will be a meeting to review the current working draft of SSB 5698 to certify soil and wetland scientists in Washington.  This meeting will be held at the D.F. Allmendinger Center on the WSU Puyallup Cooperative Extension Campus located at 2606 West Pioneer in Puyallup, Washington.  The agenda for this meeting is as follows:

Your input is needed to strengthen the bill and get it into shape for introduction in the 2011 legislative session.  For a current version of the bill please visit the soil and wetland scientist certification website (http://www.soilscientistlicensing.com/) and click the link to SSB 5869 on the left side of the page.  You can also gain access to the certification website through the WSPSS or PNW SWS home pages.  If you are unable to attend the meeting, but would like to contribute comments or questions, feel free to send them to Dan Ufnar at ufnar@hotmail.com.  We look forward to seeing you on July 16.
